According to the Oregon Food Bank's website, 61 percent of donations come from the food industry, from farmers to retailers. This makes us believe that Aramark has an inherent responsibility to make significant and substantial donations to the Food Drive.
SDS incorrectly represented In the issue dated 6 November, you stated in the article regarding the Tom McCall forum, "Tom McCall Needs Serious Reconsideration," that Students for a Democratic Society benefits from the forum. We as a group do not support the Tom McCall forum.
I have noticed a great deal of cultural and educational differences as an English international student studying here at Pacific. Compared to my expectations of larger state universities, Pacific has been both a pleasant experience so far and also a culture shock.
About a month ago, Justin Dean wrote a rather scathing article about my actions around campus. First off, I would like to thank Mr. Dean for helping me generate media coverage. This is exactly what I wanted. Secondly, Mr. Dean mentions that he is not paying attention to the writings on the side walk, while at the same time is pissed off enough to write a commentary to The Pacific Index.
Before I get started with this diatribe let me first say: I love Pacific. In many ways, I consider Pacific more my home than the house I have spent my entire life living in. Pacific has made me the person I am today and I love the things that Pacific is working to do.
