Often in the quad, outside the fence of Lincoln Park field, or anywhere there is an open grassy area, the athletes of the ultimate Frisbee and men's lacrosse teams can be found practicing. Although neither is currently recognized by Pacific as a NCAA Division III team or even a club sport, both are hoping to earn some official credit in the near future.
Following a season tormented by injuries, head coach Jim Brazeau and the rest of the Pacific University men's soccer team knew they had something special coming into the 2008 season. Already in the midst of a season of expansion in the athletic department, Portland native, Bridget Johnson has been added as an associate head cross country and track and field coach. Johnson, a Western Oregon University standout, comes to Pacific after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Western, where she helped coach Great Northwest Athletic Conference champions in both the heptathlon and decathlon.
