Fulbright Fellowships announced

Two Pacific undergraduate students have been awarded Fulbright Fellowships in 2008.
Jenifer Jennings will study anterior cruciate ligament tears and treatments for the injury in Germany.
Evan Bredeweg will study Tuataras reptiles at the University of Wellington in New Zealand.
Sara Piazza received a Fulbright for studying teaching in Mexico and develop culturally sensitive lesson plans.
Phillip Quercia was named as an alternate. He wants to work on the preservation of traditional music genres in Oaxaca, Mexico.
They will hear in May if they have won one of the awards.
Nine Pacific students have won Fulbright scholarships since 2003.
This ranks Pacific as second in the nation among doctoral/research universities and third in Oregon among universities and colleges in the number of Fulbright scholars.
The Fulbright program is sponsored by the United States Department of State and was established in 1946. It provides funding for students, scholars and professionals.
