The 2008 Senior Show, featuring the art of Pacific's graduating art majors, kicked off April 23 with an opening reception in the Cawein Gallery. All of the artists participated in the event, which lasted from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Some 14 students are featured in the show, which explains why it has expanded from the gallery into Scott Hall. Approximately half of the art is on display in the gallery and the other half is located in the entrance and lobby of Scott Hall.

Many of the items on display are available for purchase and a price list for these art pieces is on hand at the exhibit.

Senior Show is the culmination of the senior capstone for all art majors.

They create the artwork displayed in the Senior Show throughout the year. In addition, they organize the event, planning each detail from the way in which the artist statements are presented to the food served at the reception.

Senior Show will run through May 17. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment.
