Take Back the Night is a march, rally and candlelight vigil that promotes an end to sexual violence. The event is called Take Back the Night because survivors of sexual assault and violence are often afraid to be out at night.
The evening began in Trombley Square with a few short speeches about the history of the event and its importance here at Pacific. Following the speech, participants grabbed candles and marched around Forest Grove loudly chanting and showing their solidarity in the fight against sexual violence.
A "Speak Out" session for anyone wishing to speak concluded the event.
