Many styles of jazz will be presented, including swing, Latin, blues, be-bop, and ballads. In addition to three combos, soloists will include vocals, trombone, guitar, baritone sax, and trumpet. All featured compositions are arrangements the students created during the course of the class and reflect a heavy emphasis on improvisation. Center for Gender Equity Announces New Officers
The Center for Gender Equity has announced its 2008-2009 co-directors, Austyn McPherson and Celeste Goulding.
Austyn McPherson served in the 2007-2008 academic year as a center co-director and the PUCC Secretary. She is a junior in the Film Program. She participated in the India service-learning.
Celeste Goulding spent a year in Brazil and also participated in the Center's service-earning.
PUCC signs on to the Cascade Climate Declaration
PUCC has joined the Cascade Climate Declaration. The CCD has been signed by eight other student government groups.
The CCD is a petition to all levels of government to dramaticcally reduce green-house gasses, including carbon.
PUCC's signing of the declaration was proposed by Pacific's Students for Environmental Activism.
