Ten years have passed since Pacific last hosted a track and field meet.
Over forty years have gone by since a meet was held on the Pacific campus.
All of these events culminated in the Pacific Four-Way on Friday, March 7. Pacific hosted Northwest Conference schools George Fox, Lewis & Clark and Linfield in the first Pacific track meet to be held at the new Lincoln Park Athletic Complex.
"It's really great that we're having our first track and field even here in over forty years," said Ken Schumann, director of athletics. "This is a first class even in a first class venue. I've had a lot of positive comments and feedback so far."

Pacific athletes made a strong showing in front of a large crowd.
Kelsey Owens broke a school record in the 1,500 meter race with a time of 4:46.45. The old record of 4:49.43 was set by Jen Coles in 1997.
She won her second event, the 800 meter race, later in the day, with a time of 2:26.49.
Bobby Larkins was the only athlete on the men's side to win an event. He threw the shot put 45 feet, 9.25 inches to set a new personal best.
Larkins also set a personal best in the discus with a mark of 132 feet, 3 inches, but it was only good enough for second place.
Caitlyn Tateishi survived a fall in the 3,000 meter steeplechase to finish in 12:28.80, which was good enough for second place and qualification for the NWC meet.
Tony Lam qualified for the NWC meet with a time of 59.33 seconds in the 400 meter hurdles.
Carson Bartlett participated in his first Pacific track event by qualifying for the NWC meet in the high jump and the long jump.
Bartlett lept 6 feet, 2.75 inches in the air over the bar in the high jump, and flew 21 feet, 3.25 inches in the long jump.
Risa Allen came within three inches of the Pacific school record for the triple jump. Her distance of 33 feet, 5.25 inches was good enough for second place.
Angie Miller jumped 16 feet, 3.75 inches in the long jump to finish in second place.
Reggie Torres (see picture at right) ran the 100 meter dash in 11.95 seconds to finish in second.
Adrian Shipley placed second in the 1,500 meter men's race with a mark of 4:14.63.
Alex Nguyen was second in the triple jump with a distance of 37 feet, 10.75 inches.
The 1,600 meter men's relay team came in second place. The runners on the team were Nathan Gilpin, Eric Coats, Steve Stoller and Avery Neal. They combined for a time of 3:31.76.
Team scores: men third, women fourth
The men were just one point ahead of last place George Fox, but only four points away from Lewis & Clark. Linfield dominated the men's events, scoring 190 points, while the second place Pioneers netted 129 points.
The women finished with a meager 60 points. First-place Linfield accumulated 168 points, seven better than second-place George Fox.
There will be one more meet held at Pacific this year. The Pacific Twilight meet is scheduled for May 2 at 3:30 p.m.
This weekend the track and field squads will be competing in Newberg at the NWC preview, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
