On Monday, March 3 Phil Creighton, president of Pacific University, hosted a question and answer session. It was attended by a fair number of students but no faculty. Several key administrators were present to help Creighton answer questions. The stated preface of the meeting was to go over Pacific's budget so students could know how their money was being spent.

Since I organized that event for the last two years, it was most upsetting that The Pacific Index would criticize an event celebrating black history month.
Boxer was scheduled to be handed over to the winner of the Boxer quiz on Wednesday. The Gammas and Dean Croshere had possession of the prized statue until last Saturday, when it was apparently taken from Croshere. Or was it? In lieu of the buzz with the 2008 Presidential Democratic candidates, we wonder why there is no attention on our own election for the Pacific Undergraduate Community Council. Every year we see the witty flyers and promotions for the candidates, but who actually votes? Do you know what the election is for? PUCC facilitates cooperation among students, faculty and administrators to promote the exchange of ideas to achieve the goals of both the students and university.
