Thirty-two years ago this week, students were wondering where Boxer was and if the bronze statue would be returned to Pacific in the near future. The Pacific Index editor, Mike Scott was worried that if Boxer was not returned soon, that the tradition and the "spirit of Pacific" would die.
In 1976, Scott wrote: "Today, students don't really care about finding Boxer on their own, but they want it returned here." Ironically, we are facing the same situation today. Turn back to the front page for more on this issue.
