When I went down to McMinnville to watch our men's team vie for a potential playoff spot, I was overwhelmed by the environment created by the fans during the game.
Garold Howe of the men's basketball team was named to the All-NWC First Team and Amy Pederson of the women's squad was named to the All-NWC Second Team for the 2007-2008. This is Pederson's second year in row earning an all-conference honor. In her senior season, Pederson led the Boxers with 14.
The softball team will play their first home series of the year at Linfield College in McMinnville due to construction delays at their new field in Lincoln Park. They will play Willamette on March 1 and March 2 at noon. Their next home series is not until April 5 against Puget Sound.
The Pacific University handball team set out to impress and did just that as they placed seventh in the Division I class at the United States Handball Association Collegiate National Handball tournament held February 20-24 at Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo.
