Popular prof publishes paperback

With giant intergalactic space penguins, crossword puzzles at the end of chapters and a slew of easy to understand information, it's clear that physics professor Todd Duncan's first book "Your Cosmic Context" isn't quite what many were expecting. "It's kind of a textbook but with a pop bend to it," Duncan said.

Forensics gears up for trip in London

Having already won their division this year at the Northwest Forensics Conference at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash. Jan. 26-28, Pacific's speech and debaters are headed overseas March 15-22 to compete in the International Forensics Association Tournament in London, England.

Spring break trips available through Pacific Outback

Pacific Outback is offering three trips for anyone who wants to ski the Idaho panhandle, surf the Oregon Coast, or canoe through Utah's Canyonlands. A ski trip to Idaho's northern panhandle in Kellogg provides access to three different ski resorts and plenty of dry powder.

Soup kitchen opens in Forest Grove Pacific's Circle K club, along with the Anthropology/Sociology Club, has established the first ever soup kitchen in Forest Grove. The soup kitchen will be operating on a monthly basis and food will be served on a first come, first serve basis.

University offers graduates teaching possibility in China

For many students, one of Pacific University's selling points is its strong overseas program. For some students this means teaching English in China. In previous years, Pacific was able to place several students a year as English as a second language teachers at Wenzhou Medical College in Eastern China.
