There have been two major incidents involving academic dishonesty at Pacific since December. One incident cost a professor his contract, and another has become a major controversy at the School of Professional Psychology (see page 3 for more details). The details of both situations are unclear as to exactly what the individuals did that was academically dishonest, but one thing is clear: the university is taking the violations seriously.
February is spent planning what to get sweethearts for Valentine's Day or planning a Spring Break expedition. This month has also been declared Black History Month in order to celebrate the accomplishments of an entire race of people that were discriminated against for hundreds of years.
Boxer, as a symbol of our school, balances on the brink. His presence on campus this year has been peripheral: a flash during the freshman class' opening ceremonies, a website promising 'Boxer Awareness' through his national promotion, pictures of Boxer across America.
